A Survivor's Transitional Sheltering Assistance Journey

If your primary residence is either uninhabitable or inaccessible due to Hurricane Ian, FEMA Transitional Shelter Assistance (TSA) is available to eligible Charlotte County residents.

This FEMA program provides short term hotel stays for eligible survivors when other housing options are not available after a presidentially declared disaster.

Residents can register with FEMA and apply for disaster assistance in one of several ways:

• Register online at www.DisasterAssistance.gov

• In person at Town Center Mall, 1441 Tamiami Trail, Port Charlotte 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.

• In person at the Disaster Recovery Center at Englewood Home Depot, 12621 S. McCall Road open 9 a.m.-6 p.m.
